Esther Koomson LL.B, BL., LL.M.
(Managing Associate)
Esther is the managing associate at Landmark @ Legal. Apart from running the day-to-day business of the firm, she is also attached to the Investment, Mining and Finance department of the firm as well as the Corporate Law Practice Group where she focuses on Intellectual Property and Competition Law. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
(KNUST) and a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law, Accra. She also holds an LL.M in Competition Law and Intellectual Property from the Munich Intellectual Property Law Centre (MIPLC), Germany.
Prior to joining Landmark @ Legal, she worked with the Legal Department of Ecobank Ghana, Ltd, Accra where she primarily reviewed a myriad of agreements between Ecobank and other parties as well as mortgage loan applications from customers of the Bank. As a member of the litigation team of the Bank, she was assigned cases involving the Bank and liased with external firms on the conduct of the case in court.
She has also worked as an intern in Green Advocacy Ghana, a nongovernmental organization in Ghana. During her internship, she worked on the e-waste project, which aimed at finding solutions to the problem of e-waste in Ghana.
Esther was adjudged the best student in Alternative Dispute Resolution for the year 2014/2015, Ghana School of Law, Accra, and also performed outstandingly in her LL.M, graduating with a Grade ‘A’ according to the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) grading scale. She is also a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
